My learning style.

 As a student, my learning style was an important factor. It came to realization that in order to achieve  academic success i had to adapt to a learning style which the best for me and also find ways to improve them. Learning cannot be categorized into just memorizing things but its about how you understand them, apply it into real life, and reflect on knowledge. According to my observations, and from an online "Learning Style Quiz", i have identified how i learn the best, and ways i can improve. 

The results show that i am a visual learner (40.7%), 31.5% of kinesthetic and auditory (27.8%). According to my personal observations about how i learn the best, this quiz confirms it and also highlights how i can strengthen my learning styles. 

As a visual learner, i understand topics in depth when presented in diagrams, pictures, and notes. For example, when I'm learning to code, i find it easier to write and learn. Also when studying for exams, its easier to learn with notes and diagrams which make it easier to memorize. 

My kinesthetic learning style plays a crucial role as i also learn best when i am engaged in doing active tasks rather than just reading and listening. For example, in my IS 222 unit, I understood MS access and xampp by practicing it in the lab than just reading the notes. Group assignments also helps me to get more information as i am able to participate in real life problem- solving tasks. 

My low auditory score shows that i find it difficult to focus during lectures. To improve in this, lecture recordings could help me reinforce my memory. This would help me strengthen my weaker aspect of learning style. 

To improve my learning style, i could combine visual learning like pictures and notes, active practicing and listening strategies. Lecturers could support my learning style by adding more visuals in their notes, have practical exercises, and promote group discussions. These would not only benefit me but also other students with the same learning styles and those with different preferences. 

To conclude, understanding my learning style has given me an insight on how i can be better in learning. Through  building on my strengths and working on my weaknesses, i can improve and become a successful learner.
