Dear Team Aristotle,
Assessments are the most critical part of any teaching and learning process. It provides the means of evaluating and measuring the knowledge, skills, abilities, and performance of individuals over the delivered content. In recent times, the education system is inclining more towards e-learning which is favored by today’s learners, hence, educators and higher education institutes are seriously looking into other means of assessment. E-assessment has proved to be very influential during the COVID-19 pandemic. Assessments such as online testing, quizzes, exams, or assessments are conducted through digital platforms, software, or tools, often providing immediate feedback and facilitating remote or flexible assessment methods.

For the purpose of the assessment on e-learning, our group has decided on the following:
Broad topic: Challenges and Opportunities in E-learning Adoption at Higher Education Institutes in the South Pacific
Individual Paper: E-assessment and its challenges faced by HEI in the South Pacific

 
The layout of my paper will be as follows:
Introduction – Will discuss the purpose of assessments in teaching and learning and how it is conducted in the south pacific.
Section 1: a brief overview of e-assessment, its importance, and its various types. It will cover the advantages of e-assessment over traditional assessment methods.
Section 2: discuss the trends of e-assessment at the HEIs in the Pacific.
Section 3: Challenges faced in implementing e-assessment at the HEIs in the Pacific.
Section 4: some suggestions to overcome the challenges faced when implementing e-assessments.
Conclusion: summarize the main points covered in the paper. It will highlight the importance of e-assessment and the challenges faced when implementing e-assessment.
