My personality type

Year 2 - Semester 2: What is my personality type? What is my belief system?

My Personality type: Protagonists (ENFJs) based on the test I took from www.16personalities.com the results are linked to my profiles

Protagonists Traits are ExtravertedIntuitive, Feeling, Judging, and Assertive. One notable aspect of this personality is a strong desire to help others and make a positive impact, which resonates with my aspirations to work in the field of software engineering

According to the personality test results, ENFJs are frequently found in leadership positions and do particularly well in jobs that allow them to help others develop their skills. This fits in with my professional goals because I've always wanted to work on a team that develops, maintains, and enhances software systems and applications while educating my coworkers on the best ways to use software engineering techniques.

Integrity, honesty, and social responsibility are at the core of my philosophy as a software engineer. I am committed to ensuring that IT professionals like myself uphold these principles because I have a strong belief in the ethical application of technology. Technology, in my opinion, is a tremendously powerful tool for bringing about positive change, but I also recognize its enormous responsibility. My dedication to the ethical use of technology fits in perfectly with the software engineering career I've chosen, where I'll put in endless effort to advance a moral workplace culture and use my technical expertise to advance society.

People who are around me can tell I'm a confident and outgoing person just by listening to me talk to others or by directly engaging in conversation with me. These are examples of how I exhibit Extraverted. For a software engineer, having an intuitive personality trait can be very helpful because it fosters innovation, strategic thinking, adaptability, and effective communication. As part of a group I lead, whether it be my assignment group or social I am chosen to lead due to my intuitive personality, as I can bring in new ideas to the groups, do things differently, think of solutions, and strategies to achieve them

being judging helps contribute to project management and upholding order within the development process, as I like to be very well-organized, decisive, and meticulous. and I prefer planning to spontaneity, value clarity, and

having feeling part of my traits can offer user-centric perspectives and encourage collaboration. as I place a high value on empathy, social harmony, and teamwork among my group members and classmates. If someone is unable to complete their portion of an assignment, I usually assist them so that we can meet our deadlines.

My self-assurance, temper, and resistance to stress prevent me from worrying excessively about projects or assignments, which is why I like to plan projects and assignments in advance. It results in effective communication, better problem-solving, healthier team dynamics, and the potential for project leadership as a student of software engineering, these are the qualities based on Assertive features

Reflection

The aforementioned traits are excellent positives that can and have enhanced my work. I am typically chosen in groups because of the traits I've listed above I am good in terms of logical & critical thinking able to handle pressure, able to meet my deadline, plan ahead for assignments and projects as well as I am able to understand their weakness and strength in a group I am able to allocate them work based on their strengths and help or assist them in their weak areas of the project due to this it easy for my team members to converse with me

I could benefit from having strong leadership and organizational skills in the management field, specifically in project management. My characteristics would enable me to coordinate the allocation of resources and ensure the successful development and delivery of a software system. Other choices include an IT administrator, a technical writer, or even a quality assurance tester because they need every detail to be verified.

the downside of being a protagonist (ENFJ) is that I do have certain traits that are not suitable for a software engineering student such as being Unrealistic as I would try to find a solution for every problem I encounter on my own rather than seek advice from my seniors or fellow programmer. another is Overly idealistic as sometimes when I persuade as right maybe in fact wrong this is due to moral ethics of my own which I intend to solve by hearing another opinion in such matters etc
I'm a good candidate for leadership because I believe in doing things the right way, but when it comes down to it, others find me annoying. I'm not open to new ideas or alternative perspectives because of my closed mind. I try to focus more on these subjects in order to try to improve myself, but sometimes my relationship with others suffers because my focus is primarily on results and efficiency.
